Vinpro hosted an interactive wine tourism workshop on 18 – 22 November. It addressed the business facets of wine tourism, put marketing frameworks and channel strategies under the spotlight and provided an overview of best practices relating to tourism infrastructure, services and facilities.

The workshop covered aspects of the Wine Tourism Toolkit launched earlier this year. A first in South African wine industry to assist wineries in expanding their wine tourism footprint. The Toolkit provides information on running a wine tourism business in eight sections, along with case studies from South Africa, Australia and California.
