“We are now entering a new growth phase in the wine industry’s cycle,” said Rico Basson, Vinpro managing director during his annual State of the Wine Industry address at the Nedbank Vinpro Information Day on 18 January 2018.

The State of the Industry measures the South African wine industry’s progress against targets set by the industry towards 2025 as part of the Wine Industry Strategic Exercise (WISE) in 2015.
