VinPro boasts a new address for its head office in Paarl, along with affiliates Vititec and FarmMS, and research unit Wine-tech.
“Having its own home has been a dream of VinPro since its inception in 2003. From its previous location in KWV’s La Concordia, the organisation has grown significantly and obtained a strong financial base over the past 11 years. On the cusp of its second decade, the time was right for the organisation to move into its own premises,” Abrie Botha, VinPro chairman said at the official opening of the newly built VinPro office building in June.
The office is situated on Picardi Farm in Cecilia Street, Southern Paarl, the premises of Vititec, the wine industry leader in the improvement and propagation of vine plant material. FarmMS, with the WineMS farm and cellar information manage-ment system as its flagship product – is an anchor tenant, along with the wine industry business unit responsible for re-search and technology, Winetech.
“By bringing these entities together, wine producers can now gain access to expertise at one convenient location,” said Rico Basson, VinPro managing director.
Apart from the head office in Paarl, VinPro also has viticultural consultants available at branches in Worcester, Robertson and Vredendal.
