VinPro and WineLand had some fun with the children of the Niel Joubert crèche and after-school centre near Paarl on 18 July as part of its Mandela Day celebrations.

The school is part of the Pebbles Project network, a non-profit organisation which aims to enrich the lives of children from disadvantaged backgrounds with special educational needs through support and training to local wine farm and township crèches and establishing after-school provision for older children living in the winelands.

Staff members of VinPro and WineLand donated sports equipment to the school, and spent some time playing with the crèche kids. “Our continuous involvement with the Pebbles Project – specifically Niel Joubert school – forms part of a wider involvement with community upliftment initiatives in the winelands. We commend these organisations and hope to make a difference by doing our small part,” said Jana Loots, VinPro communications manager.
