Vinpro welcomed new employees to the team over the last few months. Vinpro’er chatted with them about their first few months.

Q: What was your first day at Vinpro like?
A: My first day was a mixture between excitement, nervousness, with a lot to take in at the same time!
Q: How have the first few weeks been here and how have you adjusted?
A: My first week has truly been a lot of fun! People has just been incredibly friendly and my colleagues made me feel right at home.
Q: Why did you decide to work here?
A: Vinpro is one of the first names you hear about once you start working in agriculture. Since moving down to Paarl, I have been hoping for the opportunity to be able to work with Vinpro and I was really excited to be granted the opportunity of working at such an amazing company.
Q: What is a typical day at the office like for you?
A: The very first thing I need once I get here is my cup of strong coffee in my special mug. After that I am ready to face the day ahead!
Q: What have you learnt about this organization since you started working here?
A: It truly seems as though everyone is passionate about their jobs and very loyal to their organization.
Q: How would you describe this organisation in one word?
A: Authentic
Q: What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
A: It’s either playing some guitar or catching up on my French / Latin.
Q: Name something interesting that your new colleagues don’t know about you?
A: I love spicy foods. To the extent that I have my own Jalapeno tree at home and I’m planning on planting some Habanero chilies as well.
Q: What is the nerdiest thing you do in your spare time?
A: I really enjoy playing computer games and binge watching Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter or Star Wars over weekends.
Q: What’s the strangest talent you have?
A: My fiancé seems to think its ironing, but I am not too bad at knitting.
Q: Are you reading anything right now or do you prefer series?
A: I am currently reading “Outlander” by Diana Gabaldon.
Q: Any good movies you’d recommend?
A: If you have not seen “Shawshank Redemption” yet, I honestly recommend that you do. (I am a sucker for the classics)
Q: What’s the best advice you’ve ever heard?
A: “The greatest sin in life is to be boring” – Oscar Wilde
