Can focus on growing your business, while we work towards creating an enabling environment for your business to flourish.
VinPro advocates on behalf of its members on legislative, trade, socio-economic and technical issues, through close liaison with Government, civil society and industry.

Are kept updated on industry news, trends and technical innovation.
Receive the monthly WineLand magazine, as well as notifications of events and other pertinent issues.

Gain access to a full spectrum of services and products, from the soil to the shelf.
From GIS maps and soil science and viticulture consultation to quality vine plant material, agricultural economic assistance, BEE advice, IT business management software and coordination of wine tourism.

Are part of a network of industry expertise.
VinPro works closely with industry business units Wines of South Africa (WOSA), Winetech and South African Wine Information and Systems (SAWIS), as well as other wine-related institutions, technical groups and associations.

Are rewarded for practising and promoting ethical trade.
VinPro members receive a subsidy of R2 500 on completion of an audit with the Wine and Agricultural Ethical Trading Association (WIETA)

WHO CAN BECOME A VINPRO MEMBER?

VinPro has four membership categories, each with its own prerequisites and fees:

Wine Grape Producer
Cultivate at least 5 tons of wine grapes in South Africa and deliver it to a cellar for the production of wine, spirits or juice.
Application fee: R350 (VAT incl) once off.
Annual fee: None

Wine Grape & Wine Producer
Cultivate at least 5 tons of wine grapes in South Africa and make wine from it for marketing purposes. Typically a private cellar or wine estate.
Application fee: None
Annual fee: R/ton of wine grapes harvested, payable in October and November.

 Wine Processor
Buy wine grapes and process at least 5 (five) tons of wine grapes in South Africa to wine, spirits or juice. Typically a producer cellar.
Application fee: None
Annual fee: R/ton of wine grapes processed, payable in October and November.

Associated
The person or organisation should work in or be closely related to the wine industry, e g viticulturist, winemaker, farm manager, researcher, student, wine route or cultivar association.
Application fee: None
Annual fee: R570 (VAT incl)

New applications are approved by the VinPro board, and ratified in February, April, June, August and November annually.
